Postby astroturf [OP] » September 27th 2010, 1:07pm

Has anybody purchased and used this yet?

http://gopointtech.com/blog/products/

Apple has just approved it... So it has to be good, right?

Thanks for your responses, Jim

I had not seen that one before , don't know about it , having some scan abilities makes it interesting depending on just how much scan it can do and detail it provides would be my concern for the cost. A product for I Phone that is very popular is
http://isimplesolutions.com/ipod-adapter/GateWay.asp

There may be a scanner app that is used by the I Phone that can be loaded

Just for scanning and data stream reading a product called All -In-One OBD2 scanner for $100 is really good for the money ,for use with laptop pc, not intended for i phone though

If it gives live data and code definitions sounds good for a hundred bones if it includes the diagnostic cable. Interesting to know the refresh rate is when viewing live data? When your looking at O2 sensor, MAF or fuel trim data, speedy hardware helps.

I actually downloaded the free app for it the other day. I ordered the cable ($99) but haven't gotten it yet. From what I understand it's pretty nice. It's a code reader and it shows engine load and there's another app that has digital gauges, shows horse power and torque, uses the iPhone accelerometer to show cornering and braking g-forces. The cable is also a charger for the phone. The golink program stores information about your trouble codes as well so you can go back through and have a record of past problems. It's very nice. I'll do a write up on this too when I receive the cable. With plenty of pics cause we all love pics right ;) there's actually a small article about it in septembers issue of popular mechanics and more info at www.fuzzyluke.com.
