I gotta learn how to do this kind of board work and also read electrical wiring diagrams in a much more detailed manner.
Wiring diagrams aren't too too hard to read, but in some places I think that I would get confused by exactly how much current is supposed to be going through some areas, and how much resistance other areas are supposed to have. Would also help to know how the components and switches are laid out.

It seems like a whole nother world of cheap mods (and mods in general) seem to open up with this kind of knowledge.

I don't think i'd want to MAKE computer boards, but working on them to do random stuff would be kinda fun.

Do you guys have any good resources to start with?
Particularly in automotive?

Hello, I subscribed to this forum to thank AstroWill for this very nice tutorial.
I did the fix yesterday, and it works perfect : )
(It took me a bit of time to figure out the brown line needed to be connected to the ground, which is the metal part of the radio)

Anyway, thank you again very much!

I now have 9 jacks left over that I would happily give away as my give back to the community.
