replacement interior screws - image attached

Postby joseluisrivera [OP] » August 3rd 2020, 7:59pm

Anyone have an item # from home depot or amazon for interior replacement screws - black color is fine or silver, matching pewter would be awesome too....image attached of an old one....just trying to save some time when I go to HD.

Thanks in advance.

If you are near a pick and pull Junk yard, just bring a power screw driver and go pull a hand full. Probably cost you about $5 to get a whole handful

By the way I think the GM part number is 15544780 if it helps you. How many did you need?

I have a ton of these from taking out my interior. I'm not sure if I need them or not. Do you need these soon? Also when you were taking them out, did you notice that most of them were stripped?

Woohoo....
They were in good shape / not stripped - all came out easy... just lost some along the way....I will take what you can provide, not in a super rush - it takes me 1 week -5 years to get things done....sometimes sooner or later....

I meant that whatever the screws were screwed into was stripped. When I unscrewed the interior pieces, many of those screws were no longer grabbing onto any threads and were just spinning in place.

Just remember that most of the interior screws GM used are Posidriv, not Phillips...

I'm new to the forum and came across this post. I am also searching for these screws. I did not know they were Posidriv, thought they were Phillips. Not sure it makes much of a difference as they were in pretty bad shape. I chopped up the floor molding pretty nicely trying to get them out.

Jose, did you ever find them at home depot? If so, would you share the info about them?

Tony, If you can spare them I could use about 10-20.

Thanks,
Darien

I checked. They have Shoulder Screws (learned something new today), but you would need to be able to specify the size. I'm going to try measuring these out today. I found a place that claims to sell them based on the part number provided earlier, but shipping was the same as the screws. The screws were $0.92 each and I want 20 of them which cost $18.40. Initially they wanted over $18 in shipping; I went back and now it's $15.81 (As I think more about it I might have removed something else from my cart. That $34.21 for 20 screws or $1.71 per screw.

Here's the link for the screws.https://www.gmpartsprime.com/genuine/gm-screw_assembly_pan_head_washer_wd_c_r_x_csd-15544780.html?vin=1GCDM19X94B111944&make=Light%20Truck&model=Astro%20%2f%20Safari%20(2WD)&year=2004&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=()

They canceled the order because they don't actually have them in stock.
