i don't know if there is a place on the van's ac where you could screw this fitting in - that would make it really easy !!!

the AC high side aluminum tubing outer diameter on my van is 3/8". the diameter of the JY camaro tubing i snipped off is also 3/8" at the pressure sensor, but on the evaporator side of the sensor the tubing bulges out to a larger size right after the sensor bung :

if i can find a sensor on a length of 3/8" tubing without the bulge, an alternative to having the sensor port welded to my high side tubing would be splicing in a piece of JY tubing with the sensor bung using 2 of these splice fittings :

i have the plain, front only AC - the best place i see for locating the sensor is on the vertical section of the tube between the service port and the connection to the evaporator (left side of the picture between brass fitting and 90 degree bend) :

the unknown here is if there is enough straight length in the van tube to splice the section in.
i haven't tried to get a price for a shop to weld on a new bung, as compared to the price for 2 splice fittings.
the most professional installation would be to get a new line section and have the bung welded on to it.

both the splice method and bung-weld method of attaching the pressure port mean that the refrigerant must be evacuated.
before i commit to either of those choices, i want to try and find a t-fitting for the service port that i can use to mount the sensor to one outlet with some kind of adapter fitting. i don't know about hood clearance or how easy it would be to accidentally break the fitting off, but if a t-fitting could be made to work the refrigerant doesn't have to be evacuated, or the t-fitting could be considered temporary until the system HAD to be evacuated for some reason.
