What have you done to/with your van today?

I just bought ¼" and used it everywhere - the flare nuts are the same. I think the Astro used 3/16" for one and ¼" for the other (and I can't remember which), but I'm lazy.

I'm guessing your ABS is still operational—so the slight increase in volume of the lines didn't affect ABS, I take it?

Yesterday I replaced the oil cooling lines and the hose from the hydroboot to the steering gear. The purchase from RA came on Friday. Sunsong company, I don't know what it's worth.

Today I opened the box of plug wires I ordered from Amazon. I wondered why the box was so large, and so heavy. Turns out they sent me a case of wires instead of a set. There were six sets of plug wires in one box. Looks like I'm set for life, or until they dry rot. LOL (I'll contact them about returning the other 5 sets)

Did you pay for 1 set or 1 case? What is your time, etc, etc worth ?

Ignition tune up. Plugs and wires today, cap and rotor a while back. Pretty sure they were original at 119,000 miles.

Wasnt horrible, wasnt fun. Pulled both front wheels, fender skirts, and the doghouse. Rear two on the drivers side took as long as all the others. Long extention, a wobbler, and a length of vinal tubing to start the new plugs were nessicary.

Replaced a chirping idler pulley too. Pulling the upper fan shroud makes me upset in unproductive ways. On my old Astro I made a notch in the sheetmetal that smoothed the process out...did the same on the Safari.

I knew you were a man of integrity; they will most likely either send you a label or tell you to keep them. Friend of mine received two laptops from Apple once after only ordering/paying for one, they were happy to pay for return shipping. I have had it happen from Amazon before, but it was super duper cheap items that probably wasn't worth them dealing with, they said 'dispose of it how you want'.

Waiting on the brake lines to arrive...

Just in time for the cold & sloppy snow. Yay.

I did spend some time yesterday trying to figure out all the connections. I ordered both the 1/4" and 3/16" lines, as the front seem to be mostly 3/8-24 connectors and the rear 7/16-24, so this way I'll have both sizes. I'm going to mark what each fitting size is for future reference.

Yeah, something's flowing alright. I went on the Amazon website, didn't see a "contact seller" button, or any other means to contact them other than a full on product return. I saw it was sold by Amazon LLC, it didn't appear to be an associated retailer (does Amazon have those?), after a while I gave up. Looks like I have spares.

Yes, they have a TON of third party sellers. Says it on your order page, under "Sold by: Amazon LLC" or whatever.

You would be surprised at the amount of stuff that goes out "Amazon provider" or other.Nowadays,a lot of stuff sold on ebay comes from an "Amazon provider". Really screws things up.But,is a good example of commercialism,instead of capitalism,which should piss Will off.

First time I've driven my van with A/C off this time of year.

60's would be nice, we went from above average to below average, just in time for me to work on my brakes. Brrr, going to be cold out there working under it. At least it's still dry... (knock on wood)

After a good cleaning, wash and wax, the old 1994 Astro still looks pretty good for being 26 years old. Just turned 117,000 miles, that averages out to be 4.600 miles a year, most put on in the last ten years.

Wires went back yesterday(thanks for the link Will!), got a jug of oil, picking up a filter today. Charged the battery yesterday, started it then shut it right down, oil was off the stick and knocking a little. The time has come to pull the driver side valve cover and get an oil fill tube installed. Good thing I've got a 4 day weekend(ish).
