Hello Astro Safari World!

Greetings from Detroit, MI! After years bingeing van life youtube I finally pulled the trigger on a Green 2003 AWD Astro. It has 104K miles, No body rust, some surface rust underneath, drives and shifts nicely. It was a little pricey being a well kept Michigan van but here we are. Anyway, I'm stoked to have it and I plan to slowly build out the back for a place to crash when skiing, climbing, and camping. I am starting to do more of the maintainenance myself on my other daily driver and my hope is to learn more about how to work on cars with the Astro. This site has been a tremendous help so far and I plan on posting lots of pictures soon!

A few pictures of the vansion here. Just got it back from the shop. Had to replace the oil pan gasket. It was missing an entire pan bolt if you can believe it! From my research here I gathered that getting the pan down seemed a little above my pay grade at this point. Up next are shocks, tires, speakers and stereo!
