Put all the wheel center caps on the Jimmy. (got the missing one in the mail).
Took the faux pushbar/foglight bar off the Jimmy. It wasn't in good shape anyway.

Replaced the blower motor, resistor and relay in my daughter’s ‘00 Xterra tonight. She had nothing on any speed, which ain’t that great for February. Even February in Maryland.

After swapping the tire with a nail (LR tire and brand-new finish nail) in it for the spare on the Jeep. Wasn’t leaking until my husband pulled out the nail (dumbass) but wouldn’t seal back up after. Of course, the nail is just outside the tread on the sidewall  Now I get to buy a replacement for an almost-new tire. Hmmm...did I get road hazard???

After removing the mower deck, installing the plow and pumping up the tires on the Cub Cadet. Weights and chains are already installed, fuel tank is full, oil is full and looks good. I need to get a ‘headlight’ for it (it takes 1156 bulbs which I’m out of anyway and need for the Astro - RR backup lamp blew the other day). Battery is crap, but it was installed 2/14, so I’m guessing it lived its useful life. Jump starter is charged and it’ll start on its own when it’s been warmed up, but not when cold.

It's a 93, so I can get a plate for it. 4x4 with push button axle and differential lock. Only has 12000 kilometers on it. Going to take a couple of months to get to port in NY which is fine as I don't need another obstacle in the driveway. Hoping this will be a good replacement for the 03 GMC 2500hd that I only use for plowing and my 4 wheeler that only has a couple more season. Good for local errands, dump run, wheeling around the property.

Rockridge,
I had a Cony for a few years. That was back in the late 1980's. Mine was originally a two cylinder air-cooled motor (360cc?) under the bed.
I converted it to run an electric forklift motor, and 48 volt battery pack.
I am curious what 'Make' yous is. I see Dihatsu, Mazda and Subaru one around here occasionally.

It's a Suzuki Carry. 660cc gas, carb. I drove some of these while stationed in Japan in the mid 90's. Pretty simple rig. I'm looking into some mods to improve on it for my needs and maybe improve it's safety. Had a great experience with Japan Car Direct.

Got the 2 new tires mounted and installed on the front of the Jeep, the front tires moved to the rear and the right rear moved to be the spare. Now all 5 tires match.

I did have road hazard. It expired Nov 26

Got the gate open, checked my back out path...
Into the Altima I go - ready to hit the corner In n' Out for Bread, cocaine, Double deuces and papers.

Battery Click...Clickety, Clicked in time w/ a sad groan from somewhere...
I thought it was Jeannie from upstairs, but no, it was me.

So, got this from The Van's garage:

200A Schumacher Charger sm.jpg
200A Schumacher Charger sm.jpg (179.35 KiB) Viewed 190 times

It did NOT want to start w/ the "Engine Start Feature" - would not start after sitting on that for a few minutes.
Std charge for about an hour got it to 93% and it would turn over no prob, but no gas.

Another 1/2 hour and it started so fast, freaked me out.
Got up the driveway after 4 tries, backing up farther a bit each time.
I hear Jeannie cheering. She flashes as I go by ...

Been 5 years, Autozone said, "it's outa' warranty" - she was cute, so the impact was soft.
"Shorty", as they all called her, 'had' me at "Sir, may..."

$160 for a 2 yr, get $20 back with the old core and it is 650CCA, better than the 600 we had.
The 5 yr was $200

Here's the New Battery:

2 Years on this "Made in Brazil" Duralast, same brand I had in there and same as The Van from a few years back.

So... Feeling all bold n' all, I went looking for parking lots to play in and see if I could get stuck.

I did.

Well, the end of Jan I was out of commission for a while. My F-I-L moved my Astro and Sebring to the grade school parking lot due to the upcoming snow (we park on the street). I had recovered my Astro from the lot when I got back, but just dug out my Sebring this last weekend.

Here it is when I dug out the Astro. I had brushed the snow off the roof so the fabric wouldn't have the weight of the snow on it.
2021-02-02_SnowCovered01.jpg

It had snowed some more since the first cleaning off, and I started clearing it off before I took this pic.
2021-02-20_DiggingOut.jpg

Then on Sat night, a water line broke on the corner of our street, and some water flowed down to my vehicles.
2021-02-21_WaterMainBreak.jpg

And on to today, it was finally warm (relatively speaking) so after dropping off my daughter at school I dropped the top. For some odd reason, people tend to look at you funny when you drive like this...
2021-02-23_Topless.jpg

The reason I needed the Sebring freed is I have a lot of appointments and the Astro is not quite as fuel efficient as the Sebring, so the Sebring is getting the DD status.

Doing dreaded work on the wife's Venture. I really dislike working on these sideways engined pitas. Did a new belt, that was the easy part. Now on to the EGR valve and gasket. Will also look into the driver side window that seems to be off the third rail.

I bought this bike , it as no title and no keys , 2007 , it as a couple thousand miles and a weird history , i maybe able to get a title for it but here the dmv is realy unpredictible ,its a case by case basis , it isen t stolen , but even if i cant put it back on the road it is still a great deal ,since i already own a 2003 wich is basicaly the same bike ,so i would try and find a frame with a legid title but i never seen one for sale , a new frame is about 2500$ CDN wich could be an option , or just transfer everything on the 03 and sell whatever i can , at this point all i can do is hope for the best ,i dont even know if the engine or tranny is in good condition ,it sure looks like fresh gas and batterie is all it needs to run like a champ , that at least i will find out , it as a lot of dust on that pic ,the bike s clean in person .

Added some e-track rails to my ATV trailer. On my last trailer I had installed some of these https://amzn.to/3dDFyT8 Erickson wheel chock tie-downs and absolutely loved how easy, secure and fast it made loading and unloading the ATV.

When it came time to do this new trailer, I decided that I wanted a little more versatility so I added these tracks from US cargo, https://amzn.to/3uxhTtp still using the straps from the Erickson kit, but you can buy generic straps pretty cheaply https://amzn.to/2NsPuEr as well.

I love the way it turned out, bolted easily into each crossmember of the trailer, didn't have to add any additional support like I would have had to do with the Erickson kit. Was happy that all the holes lined up, just had to be careful where the wiring crossed. I also bought some anchors for this and another project https://amzn.to/3dDG6bE to make it easier for other cargo.

Question for the engine swap guru's.

Sort of has to do with my other vehicle.....

While posting my plow truck on FB marketplace today I found an ad for a van project

let's say hypothetically I bought an 05 Chevy Express with a bad engine which is purported to be a rust-free southern vehicle, and I have my rusty 03 GMC Sierra with a 6.0LS that runs great but nobody wants a rusted truck.

Will the 6.0 work in the van without wiring nightmares?

Nuts and bolts I'm good with, but wiring, not so much
