IM LOOKING TO PUT A SET OF TUBULAR UPPER CONTROL ARMS ON MY 02 2WD SAFARI. I KNOW 96 SS SHARE SOME PARTS BUT I CANT FIND ANYWHERE TO KNOW FOR SURE. ANYONE TRIED THIS OR HAS SOME INSIGHT THAT WOULD BE GRAND

A QUICK LOOK ON ROCKAUTO SHOWS THAT UPPER CONTROL ARMS FOR 1990-2005 ASTRO/SAFARI ARE NOT THE SAME AS UPPER CONTROL ARMS FOR 1996 IMPALA. I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU HEARD THAT ...

I cannot imagine there being a lot of significant suspension parts that would be shared, but if there are, the Rock Auto site should show those common Delco numbers, under both listings.
Another possible source of cross reference information, would be the Hollander cross-reference books that are often available at many of the bigger JY's.

Very interesting!
I am a bit surprised, but I guess I should not be. GM spreads a lot of parts around, but I would have thought a truck part would have been more likely, than from a sedan.
