lower control arm bushings bolts

lower control arm bushings bolts

Postby baily144 [OP] » March 30th 2021, 11:15pm

Hi

Does anyone know what the bolt and nut size is for the lower control arm of a 2003 astro rwd.

Are both the same size?

I figure I may have to cut them off, I'd like to have new ones ready.

Bolts size? Gm part numbers?

Alex

Have you checked GMPartsPrime or any of the other GM parts sites?

ok ordered them them from GM , but I'm confused by them.

Standard Parts
11517901 is highlighted in the diagram
11517901
11517901
BOLT, HEXAGON,M14X2X90,34 THREAD,28 OUTSIDE DIAMETER,10.9,7114,MACHINE,HEADER POINT(FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM)
$6.26
$3.99

NUT, HEXAGON M14X2X13(FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM)

Fitting Vehicle Options:
M1

the bolt has a thread at the front of the bolt , are these bolts threaded into the frame brackets ?
also the bolts are smaller than the bushings they flop around .....has anyone taken the control arms off before ..... this doesn't seem right to me

any help ?

All of mine are AWD, so I have no idea on a RWD. What size are the bolts that were removed?

What about the bushings? I assume that you have ordered replacements already, what are the dimensions of those bushings listed at?
