I am working on creating a Stealth Camper Van + Tool Van.

I started working on the build. It's an old van, so I must first repair its basic essential parts (crank shaft, leaf springs, rotor dust covers, fix all rust patches, etc.) before I move to working on its interior.

Will post updates as I go...

Originally, it looked like this when I purchased it. Rust, rust, and more rust :(

Added a two brake piece dust shield that I bought on Amazon.

Painted the caliper orange, which will later, hopefully match our Handyman logo a bit in color.

dissembled the leaf spring. It was a serious pain to remove it from the van. I ended up having to use a grinder to cut its bolt from the front hanger.

Took out the rubber part of the bushing. I left the metal ring inside the leaf spring, since later, my new prothane 19-608 bushings could perfectly fit into the left over ring.

I also bought some prothane leaf spring pads. After reading the reviews, I decided to use super lube for the bushings.

Super Lube, and after seeing some advice online, I also wrapped it with silicone/teflon tape.

I also wrapped the bolt, making sure not to double lap, or it wouldn't fit into the bushing.

Wow, that underside before & after pics, great job. That probably means the topside will be just as awesome, right?
