97 Astro fuel pump wiring harness

97 Astro fuel pump wiring harness

My 97 astro van fuel pump harness has square 4 pin connector....2 black, one grey and one purple wire. New fuel pump came with flat 4 pin harness. Does anyone know how the pins match up between the connectors. I've heard the flat connector was developed because of a heating issue.

I been dealing with this on other vehicles in my work. There should be a small piece of paper in the fuel pump box that tells you how to splice the wires.
