Okay I will bite. What does a manifold tuning valve even do?

ditto that, I've got a genii and a gen I and I never heard of it, is it a 1.5 thing?

No, it's a CPI thing. My '93 Astro and Bravada have them. Changes the intake from a split manifold into a single manifold. Something they first did on the Corvette.

In any instance where the instruction is to look into the manifold to see evidence of leaking, the first step is to pull the hockey-puck looking thing in the center. That be the IMTV.

I've mounted mine in a muffler bearing and attached that to the manifold. Turns much easier now. Hooked up a lawn mower throttle cable to it so I can adjust it on the fly while driving.
