A Fix For Floating Factory Airbox After Lift?

A Fix For Floating Factory Airbox After Lift?

Postby ri$e*above [OP] » June 28th 2020, 2:32pm

Hey.

I have a 7 inch Journey lift, currently set to 5 inch, and the factory airbox isn't able to mount to the factory posts to hold it in place, and the hose that usually reaches the radiator to force in air isn't able to reach where it usually would be. Has anyone dealt with this and found a solution? A coupling or something? Or just zip tie it up and forget about it?

Cheers

I was thinking about that, but figured there was no space to do it. Thanks for the link...i'll definitely be looking into doing that

You could try a throttle body spacer. Or make a longer intake hose (aka snorkel, no matter the length).

Thinking the snorkel is the way to go...get the bonus of it looking cool too!

I bought a RamAir intake just to try it out. Lasted a day, then I pulled it off. Lol. I didn't like the thought
of pulling air in from a warm space.
