1/8 inch plate steel. Put the hole in it sized for the body bushing. Inside the frame. Put the old bushing back in to hold it in. Weld er up. Then put the new one in.

Rad support needs cut out and weld a new one in. Fender hood off then drill out the spot welds.

Some angle iron and a welder may be able to patch yours. It is totally hidden it aint got to be pretty. Unless your anal about that non sense like me.

Oh nobody will ever see it but I would know. And it would drive me crazy.

 

 

Mine was like HotWire's but the other side. The broken piece was still there. I cleaned it up, beveled the edges, and welded it back to exactly where it had broken out of.

Must be an area where water collects or whatever to cause it to fail there.

yup that's what my thoughts were .....does anyone know the diameter of that new circle ? looks around 4 inches > thanks

but the front rad support is toast ......cracked rusted out everywhere...... is there a photo pointing to where the spot weld areas are?

Take the fenders off. They are where the core support attaches to the inner fenders. It is real obvious once it is apart.
